As circumstances change, you may submit an application at any time during the school year. Applications for free and reduced-price meals may be submitted at any time during a school day.
The school district will notify you regarding the status of your application in writing or by email. The date of the letter is the date that your student becomes eligible.
Some parents are concerned about listing income amounts or social security numbers on the application. Your information is confidential and is only used to determine your child's eligibility for the school meal programs. Any personal information you provide will not be shared; it is protected by your civil right to privacy and will not be used by any other person, office, or government agency. Children participating in the federal National School Lunch Program will not be overtly identified by the use of special tokens, special tickets, special serving lines, separate entrances, separate dining areas, or by any other means. Teachers, staff, and students do not know who is receiving free or reduced meals and who has paid.
